Michelle Sloan

Michelle is a Nashville native having grown up in the Neely’s Bend area of Madison. Her love of bike riding began very early, and many days, string would be tied to her bike’s handlebars as if riding a horse.

That love of cycling continued as an adult when her family began, and still makes, annual trips to Hilton Head, South Carolina, where they literally ride bikes all over the island during their week-long stay.

When friend and fellow board member, Christina Isbell, asked at the beginning of Covid 19 if she would be interested in cycling downtown serving the homeless, she immediately said yes. It was “love at first bike” ride with UBFM. Husband and fellow board member, John, and son, David, also volunteer.

Michelle is an elementary education graduate of Tennessee Tech University and currently teaches in Metro Nashville Public Schools.
