Want to start a UBFM in your city? It all begins with compassion.
UBFM started with a desire to show love and kindness to people in a community. There was no intention of creating a non-profit, a label, or a website for that matter. One person wanted to show compassion toward his neighbors. And, when people saw what he was doing, more people wanted to be part of it. Love and kindness are contagious. When people witness it, it creates a sense of joy, and that is attractive.
Do you have the desire to share love and kindness in your community? It is quite simple. Make some food (burritos are easy to make and carry), load them into a bag, and get on your bike and give them out. It is not necessary to create a business, or have a tax ID, or have a bunch of people volunteering. Anybody can do it anywhere there are people in need.
